专利摘要:
1438955 Aluminium brazing fluxes ALCAN RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd 26 July 1973 [2 Aug 1972] 36183/72 Heading C7M [Also in Division B3] Al or Al alloy components are brazed together by interposing between the components a layer of an Al alloy solder and a layer of a flux powder comprising a potassium fluoaluminate complex free of unreacted KF and containing reacted KF and AlF 3 in the weight proportions of 40-50: 60-50 and heating to melt the solder and flux. The flux may be made by fusing together Kf and AlF 3 , grinding to -100 mesh and forming an aqueous slurry or K 3 AlF 6 and KAlF 4 may be formed separately and mixed together. 0À5% hydroxymethyl cellulose and up to 5 mole % of an alkali or alkaline earth metal fluoride or ZnF may be added. The flux may be used as an aqueous dispersion, a dispersion in a water dispersible or water soluble resin or mixed with an Al solder alloy and a resin. The solder alloy may contain Al, 10-12% Si and 1-2% Zn. The process may be used in brazing closed heat exchanger assemblies such as motor vehicle radiators and evaporators for air conditioners.

This invention relates to soldering, in particular to flux for soldering aluminum products.
A known flux for aluminum soldering consisting of a mixture containing 5355% aluminum fluoride and A5-47% potassium fluoride. The components are mixed in a dry state, followed by the addition of water or potassium fluoride is added to an aqueous solution of aluminum fluoride. The resulting paste is dried at a temperature below 200 ° C t1 1.
The disadvantages of the known flux are its hygroscopicity and the impossibility, therefore, of using it in the form of an aqueous suspension. When brazing with high temperature solder, the closed assemblies of heat exchangers cannot be used resinous binders, since they cannot be completely removed from these places. The preferred binding dim is water, so the flux should be free from this disadvantage. A hygroscopic flux containing water as a binder exerts a strong corrosive effect on the joining surfaces of the material being fed.
The aim of the invention is to reduce the corrosivity of the flux.
This goal is achieved in that the flux for soldering aluminum, including aluminum and potassium compounds with fluorine, taken in a ratio of 50-60 wt.% Aluminum fluoride and 40-50 wt.% Potassium fluoride, contains a pre-alloyed mixture crushed to 100-200 broom in the form of an aqueous suspension of the fluoroaluminate potassium complex SKF-AtF KFAEFj.
The flux consists of a homogeneous mixture - and is free from unreacted KF. The purity of potassium fluoride is not critical, and a technical KF can be used to prepare the flux.
Aluminum fluoride should be fairly clean. Best results are obtained using pure distilled. To prevent hydrolysis, these components must be dry before fusing.
Potassium fluoride and aluminum fluoride are ground in a dry form and mixed in an appropriate proportion to obtain, after fusion, a fluoroaluminate potassium complex, free from unreacted potassium fluoride. The fusion is carried out in an oven at 625-650 ° C. The resulting material is ground and mixed with water to form a slurry.
The advantage of the proposed flux is its use in the form of an aqueous suspension solely because of its low solubility in water with the formation of an inert precipitate. The present invention provides durable, dense, non-corrosive solder joints.
